"And uncertainty was the poison from which she drank daily,"
"My name is Tynan- an old name from a world that no longer exists. It's meaning was 'dark'. Ironic, for many different reasons."

Personality ;;
Quiet - Restless- Dismissive - Cautious - Dutiful - Stragetic Tynan is a quiet, restless, and quite coarse lion. These three traits make her seem an unapproachable yet dominant force in a room, but it's quite the opposite. Tynan will fade into the background, and she won't go out of her way to talk about herself or her ideas. She was raised with the notion that her worth stretched only as far as her potential as a soldier did, and as a result she has a militant personality. You'll never find a moment where this lioness isn’t on guard and watching the world around her. Tactical, cunning, and loyal to the upmost degree, even if it goes against her own personal beliefs. She very well could lead given the opportunity, but trained as she is it’s difficult for her to express her true thoughts and feelings as an individual. This is slowly changing as she earns a higher rank than just the common Rebel fighter. She was never ambitious with her future, but she fights diligently to remain close to her sister, Jamaria, who is part of Aerona's own group. As Tynan chases the only familiar lion she's ever known, she's slowly learning how to manipulate her flaws into traits desirable for command. After all, its a former soldier that knows how to meld weaknesses into strengths and passiveness into reasons to fight. She grows from one invisible from the crowd to one who demands respect. |

Her Outlook ;
Bleak. Tynan holds unreachable standards for herself and those around her, resulting in regular disappointments which she pushes down until she can let out her frustration in self destructive ways. It’s a vicious cycle but she accepts no other alternative. However, it's not all dark and gloomy for this lioness. In her coarseness, she gets things done under her command. Those who understand her, understand that under her expectations and judgement that even if the only similarity they share is their wish to survive another day, that they are bonded to one another to ensure that happens. They know her life will be given to ensure that any other will continue in her place. In this, she creates an unbreakable bond. |
Likes;
Action // This lioness is always on the move and always getting something done. It doesn't matter what it is, time is not to be wasted sitting around. She has patience, but it's reserved solely for when there is a purpose in waiting. Organization // Plans are what ground her- if she has a mental list of what needs to be done she can organize and conquer any task set before her. Humor // As unlikely as it seems, this lioness has a great sense of humor. It’s just the way she expresses it is... minimal. |
Poison -- The element is whispered to poison it's own user, slowly over time turning great warriors into lions that are but a mere shadow of their former glory. It's a harsh and unforgiving element that preys as much on her own mental health as it does the lions who she battles against. Tynan stands neutral on her element; proud of what she can do yet upset that she's only just learning talents that she should have taught at a young age. She's relied more on physical battle training than she ever has her element, and as such, her element is a road of exploration for her, a fact she likes to keep to herself.
[Mass Effect] // offensive // Slowly introduce a foreign poison to an army of foes. Over the course of the battle, whatever victims she's touched, and whoever those lions have bumped into will become infected and slowly progress into a weaker and weaker state as their bodies are busy fighting off toxins.
|
[Draw] // defensive // She can draw poison or sickness out of a target's body, however she is not a miracle cure-all. Some lions cannot be saved from their illness. If the target needs the affliction immediately gone, Tynan can simply draw it into her own body, though this can be devastating to both her and the target in turn. Concentration and energy is immense in this move. [Poisoned Words] // offensive // This is the power to apply a toxin to a host that slowly drains the energy, stamina, and drive of the affected target. She accomplishes this affliction with little to no energy or concentration required, often using it to calm those who are most devastating with their elements. [Twisted Mind] // offensive/defensive // On a target lion, they feel the symptoms of any illness without actually being infected- everything is very similar to her Mass Effect except for the fact that the physical cost on her is less, and healers are not needed to intervene to prevent a possible death as there is no true danger. Mind over matter, as they say. |

History;
Brief History;;
Tynan was raised in a small pride, deep within the Unknown lands. The pride was strange in many ways- nomadic, and they often stumbled into other territories: sometimes having to leave unburied family members behind. It was because of all the bloodshed that the pride faced, that all learning was devoted to war, primarily how to be a good soldier. Knowing how to fight and how to listen was how you would survive. The intent was there, but without focus towards the individual instead of the group, Tynan grew up virtually as a piece of a whole. A soldier in a unit, the unit within the pride. Her parents had always been distant, and what little they spoke to her was simply orders they had been told to pass on. She fought to rise in rank but after realizing that her parents truly couldn’t care, the ambition left. She could be good or even better than those around her, but it couldn’t be solely for the sake of her parents or their approval. The divide between her and her family grew more jagged and painful as she became older, so when she finally left the pride she felt no remorse leaving the 'family' she had known. Just a few years after she was adult, she encountered the Rebels and subsequently joined their ranks. It was a few months later in the healers’ den after a particularly brutal training session that Tynan met a family member- an older sister. Even though the two hailed from different homes and their personalities contrasted sharply, it was unmistakable that the two were family. And so, Jamaria took Tynan under her wing with grand, but not impossible promises. With encouragement from Jamaria, Tynan began to put names to faces of the lions around her. She would become better than before- both as a soldier and as a lion. She would earn her place here. |
Tynan was raised within a small pride, deep within the Unknown lands. The pride was strange in many ways- lions who had known only the war and actively tried to remain both neutral and nomadic. All cubs were trained from the very start of their lives how to fight, if nothing else was learnt, they were taught to defend in a single unit against enemies.

Views Towards the War ;;
Tynan, like many, has known only the war in her lifetime. It's shaped her brutally. If she hadn't been raised the way she had, ready to fight at a moment's notice, she might not be the same lioness at all. In her mind the war is a necessary evil. Peace never lasts long- but if it takes wars and the deaths of hundreds or thousands to reach that point then it becomes necessary. She doesn't care about the true purpose of the war, she doubts many even recall why they fight anymore. Rather, she fights because it's the only thing she's ever know. And she fights to win. She'll bend the war to her favor, somehow, someway. |
The Pride ;;
Personally, Tynan doesn't care for the old ways, but that doesn't matter much. She has a general dislike towards the Pride and it's members, for all she's seen is their arrogance, blind loyalty, hypocrisy, and hunger for war. Their actions directly oppose their morals, so their word is as good as dirt. If they truly wanted an end to the divide, a compromise could've been reached hundreds of years ago. This war is their doing, and theirs alone. The Rebels ;;
Say what they will about the rebels; how they're monsters, unbleeding and cruel. Certainly some in the group are.. unsettling, but coming to tolerate or even learn from those around her has taught her that their ambitions or cruelty stems from growing in a world hellbent on fighting, war, and death. Morals, standards, expectations... they have no place in war. Not if you want to live long enough to see a change in the tide. She remains wary to those in the Rebels, but they are ultimately the only group she's learned to become comfortable within... as she's the one giving orders and not the other way around. The Oasis and/or Neutral Parties ;;
Tynan refused to believe in those cub-tales for all of her life, after all, how could a group so large or advanced ever remain hidden on the small planet they live on? But she stands corrected as reports flood into the rebelling, and they're thrown once more into chaos. It's her job to deal with the repercussions, to clean up their mess so to speak. So she's left hostile to everyone but those in the Rebellion. |
